Gala event in Dubai

On May 7, 2025, a gala evening dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Dubai, which was attended by representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the Belarusian diaspora, as well as Emirati business circles.

In his opening remarks, Consul General Aliaksei Zhaldybin noted that “Belarus deeply honors the feat of the Soviet people and is actively working to preserve the historical truth”.

The Ambassador of Belarus to the UAE Igor Bely in his speech called for “preserving peace and passing on historical memory to new generations so that the tragedy of war never happens again”.

The guests were shown the film “Brest Fortress”, translated into Arabic by students of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University in close cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus.

The Consulate General of Belarus expresses gratitude to company “Prodvizhenie” and personally to Aleksandr Bulygin, company “Lamira” and personally to Hassan Hamouda, National TV Channel “ONT”, and State Enterprise “Minsk Reklama” for supporting the event.
